Yeah for Micah Monkey

Our little monkey is 10 months old today. I cannot believe time is flying by so fast. Geez...I'm just getting too old because it seems the older I get, the faster time flies. So, someone needs to get busy working on a way to make time stand still.

While we were away in the mountains, Micah decided he would start standing unassisted. Yep...he's making progress towards walking. We were just watching him play, and he was standing. It took us by surprise, and we kept watching to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Nope...not a fluke because he continued and got better as the week went on. I'm still trying to get a picture...I never have the camera ready when he's doing his thing, but I'm working on it.

We tried to buy him some shoes yesterday, but that wasn't happening. He has the normal "baby will curl his toes" syndrome. So, the shoes were not going on. We tried the Stride Rite prewalkers at Belks...didn't happen. We probably spent 30 minutes trying to get those shoes on his little feet, but he was not having it. But -- he was amazingly happy and giggly the whole time. He's quite the trooper and such a good baby.

I'm contemplating visiting some of the boutique stores around town to see if I can get him in a pair of Robeez or Pedipeds. I'm not familiar with either brand as Caleb always had Stride Rite. But -- we shall see.

Anyway, I thought it was time to give some props to our little boo. He's just growing up too fast.
