Okay, I promised that once the exchange was over I would reveal my lovely White Elephant Gift. So, without further ado...let me share what I wrapped up for one of friends to receive.
As I've mentioned, it took me some time to figure out what I wanted to take. But -- after rummaging through my bedroom, I finally found the perfect gifts. You see...Brian and I have been married for over 8 years, and back when I had my lingerie shower someone gave us some little edible goodies (I know Omi and Opa...way TMI -- too much information). Well, they were never used or opened. So, I decided what better way to get rid of something that was just taking up space. Well, why rummaging, I also found a Novelty Memory Game...just think positions. Again...TMI!
So, I gave away some edible undergarments and a positional memory game. And do you know what?!!? My gift was the HOT item. The first person that got it was pleased with it. And everyone was shocked that "sweet innocent Sherrie" would ever have such items. LOL! Have I ever mentioned that I'm supposedly the "naive prude" of the group? LOL! Well, it was now someone else's turn, and she decided to snatch up those gifts of mine. Then, someone else snatched them. And finally -- the 2nd person to have them snatched them back and was able to keep it since it was now "dead."
The party was lots of fun, and the gifts were a hoot. There was a dollar store angel, a hideous rose tealight holder, some bath gels (that were once mistaken as baby teethers...lol), an ugly Christmas pin, some Christmas candles, etc. I ended up with a set of Crystal hurricane candle holders. I didn't think they were that bad of a gift considering everything else I had to choose from. LOL!
Oh and the Christmas sweaters...it was like a flashback to the 80's. We all laughed at our attire, but not many pictures were taken. I did manage to take a picture of the lovely sweater that I adorned. So, here it is...
Enjoy the laughs!

Sounds like fun!
Sherrie! edible undies! I'm surprised!
Trust me...most of my friends were surprised, too. They would never think I'd own...much less give those away. LOL!
Edible undies ?!?
ROFL we never had anything that fun :D
I am a little worried for whoever took home the edible undies. Eight years is a long time to have food sitting in the closet. Did the have an expiration date? Do people actually eat edible undies or am I just totally showing my naivety?
Anne -- nope...no expiration date. I did warn them that they had been sitting around for over 8 years. LOL! No one seemed to mind, and since I gave them away...well, I'm probably not the one to ask if you actually eat them. LOL! Thanks for dropping by!
Sounds like you guys had a blast. So are you going to wear the sweat shirt? LOL!!
Too funny!
I love it! Gotta love the 80's!
Well, what your friends didn't get was that yes you had these items BUT, you never did use them. Well, at least not the edibles! ;D hee What fun that must have all been!
I have tagged you with a meme. Please come over to my blog.
That actually sounds like a lot of fun. I've never been a big fan of the white elephant exchange, but it sounds like you guys had a blast with it. I loathe Christmas sweaters. lol.
