Okay, several of you have mentioned that we need to find an owl for our garden. So, please direct me...where in the world do I find an owl to guard my garden?
We've got your standard Lowe's, Home Depot, Walmart, Kmart, Sears, Dick's Sporting Goods, Academy Sports, etc here locally. So, where is said owl??? Thanks :)

We plant a garden every year too. We have lots of deer around. While we don't use an owl or scarecrow we do have the boys pee around the perimeters of the garden to keep the deer out. I know it sounds awful but it works! I can't say I've seen an owl at any of the stores you've mentioned but then again I've never really looked.
Never heard of the owl solution....maybe try your local zoo? I know moth balls keep snakes away and beer keep snails away...hmm...sorry, I'm not much help.
I have no idea, the woods.. ;0)
ps, go enter my contest going on right now. have a great weekend.
My Grandfather always kept a styrofoam type owl in his vegetable garden to keep away the birds and animals. Not sure where you get it though, they might have them at a garden shop, like a farm type one.
P.s. I'm also having a giveaway, come enter if you get a chance @ MY Birthday Giveaway

Do you have a Garden Ridge in GA? I think that's where my in-law's got their owl.
Walmart, I think I saw them there. Any store with a garden dept--Lowe's, Home Depot, K-mart. The owl thing is pretty common, I don't think you'd have a problem finding one.
If you have any of those AOL disk (or old music cds you don't want any more) that are always floating around tie them to a string and hang them around your garden. They will twist in the breeze and the flash will scare off the pests :D
