So, I always see this Aloha Friday on other blogs, but admittedly, well, I just looked it over and never paid attention. But -- I read a few today, and I find it quite interesting. And -- I think I'll try to participate from now on...besides, it sounds and looks like lots of fun. If you'd like to participate, then head on over to Island Life.
In Hawaii, Friday is the day to relax and take it easy. So why not take it easy on a blog post too – I will ask a simple question and if you want feel free to leave your reply in my comments!
My first Aloha Friday question is:
What is your favorite movie?
Mine is Shag. It's one of those chick-flicks that I watched with some of my high school friends. The love for the movie then carried on into college, and I remember two of my closest friends and I always wanted to go to Myrtle Beach to shag. I still, to this day, have no clue how to shag (the dance silly). But -- I did finally make it Myrtle Beach last summer, and we're going back again this summer!
And -- here's a shout-out to Uncle Patrick and Aunt Darcy who have been living it up in Hawaii this week! Hope you guys had lots of fun!

Oh no, I can't pick just one favorite movie so I'll name a few. The Wizard of Oz, Forrest Gump, Dirty Dancing and A Christmas Story!
It is always really hard for me to answer this question - I don't have much time for movies now, but I used to LOVE them so much!! Dirty Dancing, Romancing the Stone, Last of the Mohicans are definitely at the top of my list!! ;-)
I love Dirty Dancing, I have seen it thousands of times and will still stop whatever I am doing and watch it when I see it on TV.

Wow. There are a lot of great ones listed. I like Napoleon when I want to not think. Pretty much anything with Kathy Bates too.
I like lots of movies but I really love 7 brides for 7 brothers, aunti mame w/ Rosalind Russell, plus anything Kate Hepburn was in.

Favorite comedy: Spaceballs
Favorite drama: Beaches/Dirty Dancing
Disney: Beaty and The Beast
Kids: Madasgar
I have too many to just pick one!
I like Field Of Dreams.
I love the movie Terms of Endearment but I can watch Dirty Dancing over and over and over again and never get tired of it.
Jaws, without a doubt, Spielberg at his best!
I like the Bourne Series. But my most favorite would be.... oh goodness, how can one say? Maybe The Fugitive? Pirates of the Carribean, Blackbeards Ghost, Thoroughly Modern Millie or even Arsnic and Old Lace. OK, I can not decide so I won't answer this one.
Thanks for asking though.

J. Leigh -- I've seen that one, but honestly, I don't remember much about it.
Faith -- Oh I love all of those, too.
Mighty M -- Those are some good ones, too. I loved Last of the Mohicans. :)
Alicia -- I remember watching it in elementary school and being so in love with Patrick Swayze. :)
Sawatzky Kids -- I cannot believe you love Shag! There are so many who don't even know about it.
Tara -- Pearl Harbor was really good. Shag is just a funny movie about girls having one last hoo-rah before one gets married. And I'm sure you can imagine the fun they have. :)
Harriet -- Napoleon was soooo funny. We love to watch that one, too.
Sues2u2 -- not sure I've ever seen that one. I'll have to remember to try it one day.
TheAngelForever -- I love those, too. I like how you listed one for each category, too...smart move. :)
East Coast Wahine -- it IS hard to pick one fav when there's soooo many good ones. :)
janetfaye -- that is a wonderful movie and story. :)
blueviolet -- I don't think I've seen Terms of Endearment...again, one I'll have to add to my watch list.
otin -- good choice...don't think I've seen the whole thing.
Sharinskishe -- Oh, my hubby will loves those, and he'll always stop what he's doing to watch one on TV. LOL!
I have two. One's a serious movie. The other is obviously not.
Forrest Gump is the first movie that moved me. It's a beautiful story. Tom Hanks is amazing.
Billy Madison is a silly film that I watch over and over again. If it's on tv, I have to stop and watch. I know literally every scene and word.
