Week 10 of Learning 2014-15

We are all caught up now, and I pray we stay caught up.   It really bothers me when we get behind because I then start stressing about getting back on track.  So, the best advice…STAY ON TRACK!  LOL!
Micah, First Grade Bible – Micah’s Bible lesson was on “My Bible Teaches Me Respect,” and we read 2 Kings 2:23-25 to accompany his lesson.
LLATL – This week Micah worked on sounds for “I, l, p, tt, ll’ and the sight words “will, no.”  He also worked on comprehension, story recall, sequencing, spelling, etc.  He also read another book for his program.

Math – This week Micah worked on fact families; understanding subtraction; reading hours on a clock; and counting nickels and pennies.
History – This week Micah started learning about God Made Many Nations.
Science – This was our extra week for plants, so there wasn’t any new information.
Caleb, Sixth Grade Bible – This week Caleb’s Bible lesson was on Joseph – The Ruler, and we read Genesis 41-50 to accompany his lesson.
Math – This week Caleb worked on multiplying with decimals in the real world; zeros we don’t need; adding a zero to the answer; and dividing a decimal by a whole number.
Reading – Caleb continued reading The Swiss Family Robinson by Johann Wyss.  He read Chapters 9-13 and completed vocabulary and comprehension activities for each chapter.
Geography – This week Caleb learned facts about Tennessee.

Writing – Caleb completed his writing assignment from the last lesson which was a descriptive location poem.  He then began working on the next lesson which covers compound sentences.

Science – Please refer to Micah’s science description above.
Here’s to staying on track moving forward…

Hey you! Yes, you...the one staring at the computer screen. I know you have something to say, so go ahead...just write what's on your mind. :) We all know that writing is good for the soul, and what better way than to leave a comment?!!? I promise to do my best to return the favor. :)
