Beach Vacation Recap Day Two

Sunday morning we headed down to the beach after breakfast. We set up our gear, and then Brian and I headed into the ocean to use the boogie boards. But -- I soon had to go back to deal with a fussy Micah. He just wasn't happy, and I think he was on the verge of being too tired. But -- once we gave him the bucket and a shovel...well, he turned into a happy camper. However, then he decided he didn't want to be under the tent. So much for that idea...LOL! He had fun
eating the sanddigging in the sand.

Caleb was all about the seashells...he was on a mission to collect lots and lots of seashells. So, he looked everywhere he went. LOL! He's such a mess. :)

We took Micah into the shallow water, and he eventually warmed up to playing in it. He was having a good ol' time, and he was pretty peturbed when we mentioned going inside. LOL!

After lunch, we had a little cake for Caleb's birthday. This was his ACTUAL birthday, so we had to do a little something. He got some money from Omi and Opa, and he quickly added it to his souvenir cash stash.

Then we were off to the Dixie Stampede. This was such a fun time, and it was a really great show. I was a little worried about Micah at first, but as long as we gave him food, plates, cups, and utensils, he was happy as a lark. He made a mess though, but that's part of the fun. He even got into the show by shouting "yeah" and clapping. It was so funny to watch him dancing to the music, too.

Now, I don't know if you've ever been to the Dixie Stampede or have thought about it, but let me forewarn you...you do NOT get utensils to eat your food. So, imagine the fun we had eating a whole chicken, pork tenderloin, baked potato, corn on the cob, apple pie, and soup with no utensils... Um yeah...quite the mess. But -- luckily I had plenty of baby wipes to clean us all up. LOL! Next time I think I'll throw a few plastic utensil sets in the bag as well. :)

Once we got back to the room, Caleb and I headed down to the pool after Micah went to bed. He wanted to swim, but it was a tad too chilly in the water for me. But -- I braved up, and he had fun.
