Work It Out Wednesday

So, I was going to get all creative and come up with a Meme, a button, and somehow incorporate Mr. Linky into this post. Well, I'm not all that smart...so I decided to just type it up and we'll see what happens. LOL!

Anyway, I do hope to do this each Wednesday, and I would love to make it a weekly Meme. So, stay tuned for that. As for the button and Mr. Linky...well, I'll have to see if I can figure it all out. Mr. Linky just looked all GREEK to me. :)

Brian and I have been casually working out for about 6 weeks now. Granted, we took a couple weeks off due to traveling and such. We really started training hard this past Tuesday. So, we've been at it hard core for a week now.

I ordered Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, and let me just say...after the first attempt I could hardly move the next day. It kicked my BUTT! Sad thing...Caleb actaully enjoyed it and did better than we did. LOL! How is that for an eye-opener?!!? Sad I tell you...just SAD! But -- even though it kicked our tails, Brian did get some good ideas and tips from Jillian. So, he started implementing her 3-2-1 plan into our weight training. He even built us some steps (we used these at the YMCA in Virginia, and he figured he could build them for us here), and we've been using those for a lot of our training.

Over the past week, we have both worked out really hard. We've also watched what we eat. We're both really good about cooking healthy things at home...it's just when we get lazy and choose to eat out that we have issues. :) So, we've been eating at home every day, and our grill is really getting a work out, too. We LOVE grilling, and it's soooo darn easy. I usually just bake some potatoes to go with the meat, and steam some veggies. Simple, eh?!!?

Now, onto the results...

I'm down 6 pounds total since we started all of this. I lost 2 pounds this past week. Hopefully the weight loss will pick up once we add the cardio into the workout.

So, how are you doing? What's your weight loss goal? What are you doing to accomplish said goal?

I hope that some of you will join me in WORK IT OUT WEDNESDAY! So, feel free to add your results to the comments section. Hopefully I can figure out Mr. Linky, the button and all at some point soon. Until then, I'll see you at WORK IT OUT WEDNESDAY!

Great job! I've been dieting and exercising for a while as well. If you ever want to go to the gym, I have a buddy pass with my gym membership!

You picked the wrong week to ask. Sorry. It's not your fault.

I'll play along! If you decide to use Mr. Linky, I'll link up. I'm getting ready to post about my workout stuff in just a few minutes anyway!

I'll play! My stuff is coming today. My goal is by July to see some results. I'm not placing weight goals to reach cause that may be daunting. You know how we can plateau for a while. I have lost 15 lbs but the actual # of what needs to be done is up there. I am feeling very motivated today!! I heard my Wii stuff is a serious rear kicker. I box with my Wii and I'm worked after 20 minutes, sweaty and needing a shower. I'm anxious for the Active personal trainer to arrive.

that is awesome! I seem to be stuck at 10 lbs to lose. Doesn't help to have a semi-broken knee to deal with (not good for the workouts).

Have a blessed day!

Sorry I can't play along. I don't diet & exercise, I chase an out of control 2 yr old. The wilder she gets, the more weight I lose.
