Welcome to the Caribbean

I'd like to welcome you all to the Caribbean. No, we're not in the Caribbean, but oh how I wish I was right now. It's cold down here...too cold. Anyway, it looks like we're in the Caribbean.

Brian tackled painting the playroom & guest room this weekend. We let Caleb choose the colors, and here were his choices: Apple Green, Pumpkin Orange, and Cool Caribbean blue. We also have Sweet Corn yellow that we used in the living room. He did a good job because all of the colors blend together so well.

We also moved all of our homeschooling stuff in there, and now it will be our homeschool/guest/and playroom. Busy, huh?!!? LOL! It actually works out well with a roaming Micah. He can now be in there playing while we are homeschooling. So, he's happy as a lark!

Here are some pictures...and yes, I know...I've got to change my quilt now. LOL! And -- there aren't bad spots on the walls...promise. The glare was messing with the pictures I think. Anyway, you'll get the idea.

The desk corner and entertainment centerCaleb and Micah's own PERSONAL dry erase board...now maybe they won't draw on my walls with crayons. LOL!

This is so cute! And I so need a painted on dry erase board. In my old kitchen I painted and framed a chalk board on the wall and it was the best thing ever! Thanks for the great idea!

Great paint job! I love the colors you used. It looks like your guest room is really big.

I love it!!! The colors are great & I'm really digging that fan.

When can Brian come to my house?

Mighty M -- I'm with you...bring on the tropical drinks, and the little umbrellas. LOL!

Misadventurous Mommy -- Yeah, I'm not a big fan of chalk. Good luck if you try the dry erase paint. We used Rust-oleum.

Amazing Greis -- I kinda thought that, too. LOL!

Tonya -- awww...thanks!

Devri & Laura -- thanks ladies!

Heather -- yes, it is large. It's actually a MIL suite with it's own bathroom.

Semi-Slacker Mom (yes, I know your real name, but I'll avoid using it...lol) -- Would you like for me to hire him out? LOL! He HATES painting, and it takes a lot of convincing and bribery (can you say relations...TMI!) to get him to finally cave. There's still a few more rooms left to paint. LOL!

Jenn & Hotpants -- thanks gals!

The colors are fabulous. Nice and bright, won't be any sleeping during class there.

Very brave to let the kids pick the colors but it looks good! What a great place to do your schooling, very cheerful looking and stimulating!
