Roll Out the Red Carpet...

Because here I come. I'm so special today that they need to roll out the red carpet. I deserve some special treatment! LOL! I'm only kidding, but these THREE rewards sure make me feel like I need some red carpet treatment. So, here goes:

Lydia @ On the Verge and Sue @ Stay at Home Mom both blessed me with the "Life is Grand" reward. Lydia is a hoot, and I really enjoy reading her blog. Go visit her and get a laugh for yourself. Sue is a fellow Entrecard dropper, and I'm enjoying getting to know her by reading what she has to say. Go visit them...you won't be disappointed.

Now, on to the award. I am supposed to list five reasons why I think life is grand and pass it on to five other blogs.

1. I have a wonderful and hard-working husband who supports me in being a SAHM and a homeschool teacher to our two precious boys.

2. I've been blessed beyond my expectations with two of the cutest, smartest, and funniest little boys. I cannot wait to see what they will accomplish in life.

3. I'm blessed with some great friends IRL (in real-life) and IBL (in bloggy-life).

4. I'm a child of God, and He never fails or leaves me even when I stray away and don't take time to put Him first.

5. I'll agree with Lydia -- CHOCOLATE! I LOVE chocolate! LOL!

Now, Regina @ My Life with Little Girls also gave me an award. She gave me the Honest Scrap award. Regina is another bloggy and Entrecard friend. I enjoy reading her blog because she talks about life with girls, and I can enjoy all things girly being as I don't have any girls. LOL! Go check her out!

Here are the rules for this award:
a) List 10 honest things about yourself - and make it interesting, even if you have to dig deep!
b) Pass the award on to 7 bloggers that you feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.

Okay, I've done this one before, but I'll give in and do it again. I'll try not to repeat anything. Here goes:

1. I do NOT like for my toes to be touched. Now, I will go get a pedicure, but don't be messing with my toes other than that. Brian knows not to touch my toes, but he INSISTS! Isn't he the awesome? LOL!

2. I have two piercing holes in each ear, but I never wear earrings in the 2nd hole. Don't ask me why...I HAD to have that 2nd hole, but I guess I outgrew that phase.

3. When we chose names for our boys, we made sure that they either had a Biblical or family-based name. We succeeded with both...Caleb Reid (Caleb is obvioulsy from the Bible) and Micah Joseph (Micah is from the Bible and Joseph is from both families).

4. I've been sending out a Christmas newsletter and picture for the past 3 years. I really enjoy keeping our family and friends up-to-date on our happenings. Hence...that's why I started this blog.

5. I LOVE proofreading. It bothers me to no end to find a published book or article and find spelling errors. It really grates on my nerves.

6. I've lived in Georgia my entire life. Now, I have lived in 5 different Georgia cities though.

7. I was the first person in my family to attend and graduate from college. Granted, my baby brother teases me because he claims I'm not using my degree. But -- since I was an education major, I beg to differ. I'm a homeschool teacher remember? LOL!

8. I taught school for 8 years. I taught Pre-Kindergarten for 3 years, high school special education for 3 years, and first grade for 2 years.

9. I change my hairstyle nearly every time I go to the hairdresser. She probably hates that about me...LOL! I usually like to keep it in a short style, and I get bored easily!

10. I love to talk on the phone. I could probably talk for hours if I didn't have any other obligations. Oh, and I HATE the busy signal. LOL!

Now, let me go ahead and pass these awards on. Be sure to follow the rules for both. So, grab them with pride and ENJOY THE STARDOM! ***Oh, and if I by chance already gave you these, don't worry. Grab it again. LOL! I can't keep up with all this stuff. My mommy brain is FRIED!***

1. Kristie
2. Margot
3. Kaye
4. April
5. Tara
6. Kelleye
7. Shaunalynn

I'll post comments for all of you after supper. If you see this before then, go ahead and grab it!

I am the same way about proofreading and finding errors in books. My husband laughs at me because of it. I actually found an error on the bottom line of CNN once. I was so proud.
